Markets.com was established in 2008 and is one of the world’s most experienced forex brokers. It provides four trading platforms which connect traders to over 2,200 assets with real time pricing. Markets.com began as a forex brokerage and there is still a big emphasis on FX and cryptos, although there are enough wider assets to satisfy most traders. All trading is backed up by effective customer service and account managers and traders have a genuinely secure trading environment.
Markets.com welcomes traders from most countries, with the exception of clients from Japan, Canada, Belgium and US.The broker’s corporate headquarters is in London and there are a number of regional offices in the EU and worldwide.
Like many UK based brokers, Markets.com doesn’t offer much in the way of account types. There is a useful free demo account, but real traders have one basic account. This may not suit people who are looking for more flexibility and a range of benefits.
Minimum Deposit – $250
We were impressed by the range of deposit and withdrawal options at Markets.com. Traders can choose from bank wire transfer, credit cards, Neteller, Skrill, PayPal, Fast Bank Transfers, Sofort, and iDeal. The minimum deposit is $250 (or base currency equivalent). Currently there is no minimum withdrawal amount, but small transactions may become expensive if third-party charges apply. Like most brokers, Markets.com aims to process withdrawals within a few business days.
There is a better than average choice of deposit methods at Markets.com. Although some are only available to EU traders. All traders have access to debit/credit cards and bank wire. Deposits are generally fast, secure and glitch free.
Withdrawals at Markets.com can take some time. It depends on the payment method, but you may have to wait up to seven working days to get your money. On the plus side, the broker is willing to process withdrawals as small as $5 with no penalties whatsoever.
Markets.com uses the powerful Marketsx, Marketsi, and MT4/5 platforms. There is also an effective mobile app that provides secure trading via smartphones and other devices. The platforms provide some of the latest risk management tools, and high tech charts, indicators, signals, data feeds, creating a highly professional trading experience.
Traders are spoiled for choice with over 2,200 CFD assets across eight classes. Forex traders have access to most of the world’s currencies with 67 pairs, as well as major cryptocurrencies. There is also a good selection of stocks, indices, commodities and a small number of bonds.
Markets.com has a well designed education center. If you begin with a free demo account, the tutorial videos (available on the platform or YouTube) will give you a good financial background knowledge. There are also regular webinars and other learning resources.
Unfortunately the 24/5 customer service isn’t available on weekends, but the reps are well trained and respond fast via phone, chat and email- or a special (non urgent) web form. The FAQ section answers most common questions. Markets.com also features a Fraud Watch to improve trader security.
Markets.com does not offer bonuses or promotions to its UK traders (due to government regulations). There are occasional offers for traders in other locations but the brokerage is more focused on its wider trading service. Bonus hunters will have to look elsewhere.
Markets.com has 4 top quality platforms which each come with the latest tools and features. We were impressed by the XRay real-time financial opinions, Acuity News Alerts, Trends In Trading and the broker’s own webinars. Technical and fundamental analysis is excellent.
Markets.com is a reliable, secure and well established broker. It provides 4 great platforms and some good trading tools. Account management is simple and there are no punitive withdrawal fees. Forex traders will be happy with the asset index.
Overall trading fees are high and the broker doesn’t provide bonuses or promotions to most traders. The wider (non forex) asset index isn’t the best we’ve seen.

Poor quality education center! I’ve looked for some free online courses but I didn’t find anything that really helped.

Customer service didn’t get back to me in time. It took them more than 1 week to reply to my complaint…
